ÖAW Award for Key Researcher Mahmoud Abdellatif
We congratulate our key researcher Mahmoud Abdellatif, who was honoured with the Elisabeth Lutz Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) in March 2025 for his outstanding achievements. The EUR 15,000 prize honours innovative basic research in the life sciences. The assistant professor at the Medical University of Graz impressed the jury with his work on the connection between ageing, high blood pressure and metabolic syndrome and their contribution to heart failure.
